Having spent most of the last decade on tour with various rock bands, Copenhagen native MATTIS is now making his debut as a solo artist.

The 6 ft. 8 former punk rocker unplugged his guitar and teamed up with acclaimed producer Ole Brodersen to develop his own unique sound. The two of them share a love for Motown and soul music. Paired with MATTIS'' classic songwriting and his edgy rock background, they have cooked up a special blend, which is now referred to as “Viking Soul”. 

 

The music is best described as alternative pop with grandiose organic productions, framing MATTIS' distinctive voice which exudes depth and personality.
